Hundru Falls is situated 43.6 km northeast of Ranchi City. With 98 meters (322ft) depth, It is the 34th highest waterfall in India and one of the most famous waterfalls in Jharkhand.
The SwarnaRekha River forms this waterfall, one of the most famous rivers of Jharkhand, which starts at Nagari Ranchi from a well and meets Mahanadi at Odisha.

it’s an exhausting experience till you reach the waterfall, but when you see this from the last year, the experience is really mesmerising. When I travelled to this waterfall for the first time with my wife, it was an exhausting experience for me and my wife, but when we reached the bed of this waterfall, our tiredness suddenly left over due to its beauty.
To reach Haru Falls, you have to book a cab to ride on National Highway 33 and then write from Ormanjhi to Sikidiri Road. It’s located near the Sikidiri hydropower plant.
there is another road to reach there ie; Ranchi Purulia Road. After Angada, you have to turn left to Getalsud Dam and then Hundru Falls.
You will also find Getalsud dam on this road that you can combine in your trip.
the best season to visit Hundru Falls is from October to April when you will find water in this fall. In the summers, this waterfall dries up as the Swan Rekha River is rainy.
in the rainy season, it’s dangerous to visit this waterfall as the flow is very high. So I don’t recommend visiting this waterfall in summer and rainy season.

Dasam Falls is another beautiful falls in Ranchi. It is located southeast of Ranchi on Ranchi-Tata road. This waterfall is 144 ft high and it is famous for the 10 water streams falling from above.

Jonha Falls or Gautam Dhara is another hidden gem of Ranchi, Jharkhand. I first visited this waterfall when coming back from My uncle’s house in Jhalida, West Bengal.
As, Jonha Falls yes, located 53 km from Ranchi on Ranchi Purulia Road, we have decided to go to this destination to spend some time and then go back to Ranchi.
I remember it was an exhausting experience for me to step down and up the stairs, but the destination was really amazing. We visited Jonha Falls on February last, which is the season of Palash Flowers. That’s why the whole Jungle was looking red, which was an amazing experience for me and my family.
Jonha Falls with 141 feet is another waterfall formed by Gunga and Radu Rivers which are rainy rivers, that’s why the stream is high only in winter and early summer seasons. The best time to visit this waterfall is from October to March.

Panchghagh is situated 50 km from Ranchi in Khunti district. You can reach there by Ranchi Khuti Road via cab.
It’s a short-sighted waterfall, and you will find a pond just below the waterfall, where you can take a bath, swim, and play water games.
It’s very cool for those who want to spend time away from urban life. It is also a great place for picnics and photography.
When visiting Panchghagh never Forget to visit Amreshwardham, Angra Badi, one of the famous Shiv Temple Inda Jharkhand.
The best time to visit this place is from October to April when you find 3-4 feet of water in the pond.

Here, you will find paid parking and snacks, etc as common immunities by the waterfall management.
The name of this waterfall is Hirni Falls because when the water flows down, it outlines a wild deer known as Hirni in Hindi.

All the waterfalls in Ranchi located 50-70 kilometres away from Ranchi city. But you have to plan which waterfall you want to visit in a day as most of them are just opposite to each other.
